I love this. Actually autocorrect first wrote I live this- and that is also true.

I love this, I live this. We own our house and wish we could have more blooms, but in Illinois the weather is fickle. So I shall be happy watching my daughter bloom and grow as she goes on to the next milestone, high school graduation then off to college, all the while rebelling againt the need to be like the other Moms and their endless need to be perfect. You always have the right words when I need them 🥰

I used to be very devoted to the hydrangea bush outside my apartment's back door. Every year the landscapers would cut back the branches right before it bloomed. It broke my heart that my big beautiful bush that was ready to bloom was being cut back, partially because I would not figure out why. Eventually, I had my partner go out and talk to the landscaper, asking him to not cut this particular bush. I was so grateful when they listened. For the rest of the time we were there, they never touched it. I loved watching that hydrangea bloom every year and took to trimming it myself at the appropriate time. I put so much into it and got so much joy out of it. It was the one thing besides memories that I was sad to leave behind when we moved after 12 years.

It's gotten to the point that I don't recognize 'celebrities' because they are all beginning to look the same. I have thought this for years! Sometimes I can recognize people by their voices first and not by looking at them (on TV).
